Character Statistics
Character Profile Max is the navigator of the group, using the PokeNavi (which his parents gave him) to help his friends reach their desired destinations. Despite his young age, he has an encyclopedia-like knowledge of Pokemon, challenging Ash and Brock's experience and far outweighting what his sister, May, knows. Although these travelling siblings love each other, they tend to fight quite a bit. He can be quite obnoxious, however is a caring child and has a fanatic love of Pokemon. At first Max and Ash didn't get a long. When Ash and friends arrived at the Petalburg Gym, Max first insulted Ash by laughing at him for losing to Harrison at the Johto Legue Championships. He then pretended that he was the gym leader the trainer had come to face. But after a short while Max has grown to see Ash as a bit of an
idol, someone who can teach him more about Pokémon, and Ash
seems to enjoy the attention. They have become as close as siblings
(Pokemon 6: Wishing Star of Seven Nights). Character Info Max is somewhat based upon the Pokemaniac trainers from the Game
