Character Profile

Jessie Jessie is the natural leader of the Team Rocket trio, generally using her trusty mallet or fan to keep the others in order.  She is very bossy and incredibly vain, believing that her face is absolute perfection.  Neither-the-less, she does care greatly for her two partners (see 'Holy Matrimony' and 'Meowth Rules') and has a soft heart.  It seems her toughness is only an exterior, put up to prevent others from emotionally hurting her, as she has suffered much heartbreak in her life.

Jessie has a very different background to her team mate, James ('Princess Vs. Princess'). When Jessie was around eight or  nine her mother, Miyamoto, was sent on a mission to the Andes in South America, by Giovanni's mother, Madame Boss, to find a Mew.  However, there was an avalanche and she and her team disappeared, leaving Jessie alone.

Jessie With no one to turn to (it seems that Jessie does not know who her father is) she joined a bike gang who idolized Team Rocket ('The Bridge Bike Gang').  This is possibly where she met James, her best friend and now partner.  The two also attended, and flunked out of, Pokémon Tech together, as they stayed up the night before partying as they were so confidant they would pass ('The School of Hard Knocks').

A few years later, Jessie went through a few careers changes. She once was a weather forecaster before she decided to become a Pokémon nurse.  However, she was not accepted at any of the normal training schools.  Her only option was to go attend a school where Chancey's were trained.  Here, she befriended a clumsy Chancey and helped her graduate, despite the fact Jessie herself failed. They both carry a reminder of their friendship; a broken half of an egg pendant Chancey was given at graduation ('Ignorance is Blissey').

Jessie After these failures, it seems she joined Team Rocket, possibly hoping to make her missing mother proud. During Jessie's time in the organisation, she befriended a girl named Cassidy.  However, the friendship did not last as now the two hate each other. It is not known what happened.

Several times, Jessie and her friends have sided with good.  For instance, they have helped the Twerp Trio defeat their fellow Team Rocket members Butch and Cassidy, and have aided them in all of the movies.

Character Info
