Character Profile

'The Black Tulip' was a novel written by French author Alexander Dumas, who also wrote 'The Three Musketters.'Domino is a cold and calculating member of Team Rocket, not worried about the hurt she causes to anyone.  She is also one of  Giovanni's best operatives.  She is the one who was able to track down Mewtwo, a Pokémon created by Team Rocket scientists, after years of searching.

She is a member of the Pokémon Institute, and uses this to befriend Colin, a man who wishes to study the water from Purity Canyon, where Mewtwo and the other clones are hiding.  She is able to pull the wool over Colin, Luna, Ash, Misty and Brock's eyes with a fake, overly cutsey exterior.

When the group come closer to where Mewtwo is, she calls in the Team Rocket task force, who take the island where the clones live.  Domino captures Ash, Misty, Brock, Colin and Luna, with all of the clones and their offspring, throwing them into a cell, and sets Jessie and James to domestic work.  She even attacks two Pokémon trying to protect their young with her unusual black tulip weapons, and, with no regrets, follows plans to experiment upon the clones, experiments that she knows will kill them.

She met an unfortunate encounter near the end of the movie - when attacked by a number of bug-type Pokémon, she slips upon the wet floor (that Jessie and James were cleaning) and ends up with her head in a water pail, much to the delight of her two colleges.  Mewtwo later wipes her memories of all the events, as she is a danger to him and the other clones.

Domino is the only member of Team Rocket we've seen that isn't afraid to speak up to Giovanni, her boss.  This fact, and as she refuses to reveal her true name, has lead many to suspect she is the Team Rocket boss' daughter.

Domino has so far only appeared in 'Mewtwo Returns'.
