Character Profile
Butch is the male half of the other Team Rocket group we have grown
to know. He also seems to be in the background  most of the time, taking orders from his team mate, similar
to James, but James isn't as quiet and doesn't always do what Jessie
says (James is much stronger than Butch in this way). Even
with this, he can be as cold and calculating as his partner.
He seems quite intelligent, and he and Cassidy seem to come up with
better plans than Jessie and James Although he does not know
James personally, he seems to be very competitive with him, but
maybe this is because Cassidy is very competitive with Jessie, and
he wants to stick up for his friend (probably also because James
always calls him 'Botch').
Butch, and his partner, Cassidy, have become two of Giovanni favourite
Team Rocket members as they have had many more successful missions
that Jessie and James. They don't seem to fight as much as
Jessie and James, but maybe this is because we have seen very little
of them.
This team have had run-ins with Ash & co. four times so far,
and all these times they have ended up in jail by the end.
In the first episode, he and his partner set up a breeding centre,
hoping to steal any Pokémon of value that came in, but, by
accident, Ash, Misty, Brock, and Snap stumbled upon the plan.
Then they, apart from Misty, were arrested as Cassidy reported them
as burglars. But Misty proved that they were innocent and
both Cassidy and Butch were put in jail ('The Breeding Center
Secret').
 Unfortunately, they were quickly bailed out, in person, by
Giovanni, something he would never do for Jessie or James (they
always have to dig themselves out, well, Mondo is supposed get them
out of those situations ). The second time, they used a parabolic
satellite dish to enhance their Drowzee's hypnotic powers, and take
over all of the Pokémon on one of the Orange Islands.
Pikachu, Togepi, Meowth, Weezing, Victreebel, Arbok and Lickitung
were all caught up in the spell. Team Rocket, Ash, Misty,
Tracey, and one of the Officer Jennys teamed up to teach Cassidy
and Butch a lesson ('Pikachu Re-volts').
Again, the got out of jail and came up with a new plan; to copy
a Pokémon fortune telling book (badly) and tell trainers
that it was lucky to own the Pokémon that matched their birthday.
The trainers then began to leave their Pokémon with the two,
posing as an elderly couple, hoping that another trainer would bring
in a Pokémon that matched their birthday that they could
trade for. However, the Pokémon left with them were
to be sent to their boss. When they found out about this,
Ash and co. attempted to stop them, and the other Team Rocket tried
to steal the Pokémon they had stolen. Again, Butch
and Cassidy are arrested ('The Fortune Hunters').
Recently they were part of the Team Rocket plan to kidnap a Lugia
and it's child, but this plan was thwarted by Ash, Misty, Brock,
Pikachu and Richie ('The Mystery Is History', 'A Parent Trapped!'
and 'A Promise is a Promise').

If there is one thing that Jessie and James don't like, it's competition.
Butch and Cassidy are big competition. In 'The Breeding Center Secret',
a Pokémon salon and boarding house is opened. When
Pokémon leave, not only will they be refreshed, but they
will be evolved too! The secret owners of the salon are Butch and
Cassidy - members of the notorious Team Rocket organization, who
want to steal all of the Pokémon!

her Psyduck, Misty leaves it in a new bredding center. However,
when she returns early to get it back, she and the others discover
a shocking secret about the center.

Tracey join together to beat Cassidy and Butch.
'The Fortune Hunters' - Team Rocket run into their
old adversaries, Butch and Cassidy, and James has delusions of greatness.
