PROFILE - Hiroyuki is very protective of his daughters. At first he did not approve of Yukino and Arima dating, but when he got to know the young man, he instantly warmed to him.

He and his wife, Miyako, grew up together, and fell in love when they were about Yukino and Arima's age. When he as little, he lived with his grandfather after both of his parents were killed in a car crash.

As a child, he was increibly reckless and often got himself (and others) into trouble. As he grew, he saw that his grandfather was becoming week and decided to forget about going to university, instead focusing upon getting a job so he could support his guardian as he had supported him.

However, he was never able to pay his grandfather back. He died shortly before Hiroyuki graduated from high school.

Heavily hit by the loss, Miyako was able to help him cope and the two quickly fell in love and married when he was 21.

Miyako's father hates Hiroyuki. He, his daughter being his only family, felt that Hiroyuki took her away from him and was angry that they married so young. The two, even now, don't get along.

PROFILE - Miyako is the only child of a police detective. She is reliable, very together and a great support to her husband and daughters. Yukino looks just like her mother when Miyako was 15.

Miyako and her husband, Hiroyuki, grew up together and she was often the innocent victim of many of his stunts. She at first felt a connection to him due to the fact that they had both lost their mothers when they were very young.

When Hiroyuki lost his grandfather, she was the only one there to support him, leading to the teenagers falling in love with one another.

Her father is very protective of her as he had to raise her by himself. She loves her father and respects everything that he did for her, but loved Hiroyuki enough to go against his orders and marry him when she was only 19.
