PROFILE - Maho is very intelligent, mature, collected and cunning. She is in love with a 26-year-old dentist.

When Yukino becomes the most popular girl at school, Maho feels her rightful place has been usurped. To change this arrangement, she turns all the girls in class against Yukino, telling them that she is hiding her true personality and that she is really just using everyone. However, when Yukino confronts Maho, their classmates see the truth and rebel against her, and Maho's so-called friends leave her. Maho, now all alone, feels like she has been beaten. Surprisingly, it's Yukino who attempts to cheer her up, and the two rivals become fast friends.

Yukino introduces Maho to her new group of friends; Tsubasa, Tsubaki, Aya and Rika. This sadly means that she unwillingly becomes involved with Tsubasa's family problems, and that, despite her sever reluctance to act in Aya's play, she is forced into it by her friends.
