PROFILE - Kazuma is Tsubasa's 'younger' step-brother. He is a punk and a member of the underground rock band, Yin-Yang. He is very sweet and caring.

When he heard that his mother was to remarry, unlike Tsubasa, he didn't have any adverse reaction to it. As long as his mother was happy, he was happy.

When the soon-to-be family go to dinner for the first time, Kazuma mistakenly thinks that Tsbasa is a few years younger than him, whereas she is in fact a few months older. He is excited to have a 'younger' sibling as it has been his secret desire for years. Tsubasa reacts badly to this.

A few days later, Kazuma sees Tsubasa in town. When a pervert attempts to abduct her, he comes to her rescue, and nearly gets arrested himself. The two decide to give their relationship a second chance. They get ice cream and go back to the Ikeda residence. Tsubasa is shocked to see the mess of the small apartment. The two begin to talk, and realise that they are very similar; they are both lonely and come home to empty houses everyday after school. Now, with the engagement of their parents, there is no longer any need for them to be alone.

When their parents realise the future sibling's friendship, and possibly more, they decide there is no need to wait, and marry and move into the Shibahime residence the next day.

Tsubasa loves to cling onto her 'little' brother, and Kazuma certainly doesn't mind this. Tsubaki, Rika and Aya feel that he brings out the 'humanity' of Tsubasa. But as Yin-Yang becomes more famous, Tsubasa worries that the step-sibling's relationship may suffer.

Kazuma and Arima become friends really quickly, much to the jealously of Asaba and Tonami. They get on like they have known each other for years.
