SYNOPSIS - 15-year-old Yukino Miyazawa may seem like a sweet, caring and model student, but, in actual fact she is a fraud. Living only for the praise of others, she is cunning and devious. When she enters Hokuei Prefectural High School, her debut is ruined by other freshman; Souichiro Arima. While planning his downfall, this young man confesses his love for her.

SYNOPSIS - Now that Arima has seen the true Yukino, what will he do with this powerful information? Use it of course! Blackmailing her into doing his school work and duties, Yukino becomes more and more frustrated. But does Arima simpliy wish to punish Yukino for rejecting him, or is there something more behind the blackmail?

Act 3 - His Circumstances

SYNOPSIS - Now that Yukino and Arima have become close friends, everything seems rosy. They even spend time over at one another's homes studying! But suddenly Arima has begun to act cold towards her. Yukino, thinking that he has seen through her and realised her love for him, confronts him. But she uncovers something she didn't expect.

SYNOPSIS - Arima tells Yukino for the second time that he loves her. Desiring to tell him her feelings as well, she croaks and the moment is lost. Regretting her mistake, Yukino attempts several times to confess to him, however, something always ends up getting in the way.

Act 7 - The Couples Separation

SYNOPSIS - Too caught up in the beginning of their relationship, Yukino and Arima forget to study and their grades drop significantly. Worried that they are putting their future in danger, the school authorities call in their parents. Will the two young lovers be forced to break up? Or will their parents be able to save the day?

SYNOPSIS - With a day off from school, Yukino and Arima plan to spend it together. Finding themselves alone at Arima's home, the couple share their second kiss. Much more passionate than their seemingly chaste first, Yukino realises she that her feelings for him are even stronger than she had previously thought.

Act 9 - Moratorium Atones

JAPANESE TITLE - Moratoriamu no Shokuzai

SYNOPSIS - Yukino has never truly had any real friends, but now she has both Arima and Asaba to hang around with. Fellow classmate, Maho Izawa, who was usurped from the top position by Yukino, decides to use the three's relationship to turn the whole class against Yukino.

If that wasn't enough, additional trouble comes in the form of Tsubasa Shibahime, and old friend of Arima's who doesn't apreciate Yukino's feelings for the boy she has always loved.

SYNOPSIS - The girls in Class 1A are revolting against Maho. They feel horrible for being so mean to Yukino and decide to aplogise. The one-sided fighting between Yukino and Tsubasa continues. Yukino tries not to let it annoy her, until Tsubasa destroys something very prescious that Yukino gave to Arima. Tsubasa has gone too far, and now Yukino will get her revenge!

SYNOPSIS - With the beginning of the summer vacation, Arima leaves to take part in a Kendo tournament. Without him, Yukino begins to spend time with her female friends (Maho, Tsubasa, Tsubaki, Aya and Rika) for the first time. However, just as she is beginning to settle into this new group, Tsubasa announces that she is leaving home and coming to stay with her.

SYNOPSIS - Now caught in the problems of another family, Yukino attempts to convince Tsubasa to go home to her father. The redhead constantly refuses, however, saying that she will only return home if her father agrees not to remarry.

SYNOPSIS - Realising that she has no sway over her father's intentions to marry his new fiancé, Tsubasa returns home. She agrees to meet her future step-brother, Kazuma, but everything turns to disaster when he mistakes her for a little kid. When the two teenagers accidently run into each other in town a few days later, they begin to realise that they have more in common than they previously believed.

SYNOPSIS - While at her maternal grandfather's house, Yukino finds an old photograph of her mother when she was her age, around the same time she fell in love with Yukino's father. This causes Hiroyuki, Yukino's father, to remember his life growing up with his wife, Miyako, how they feel in love, and the painful memories of his own grandfather's deteroration.

SYNOPSIS - Finally the day has come for Arima to return from the Kendo National Tournament! Yukino is shocked by how much he has matured, both physically and mentaly, and feels as if she is falling in love with him all over again. Desiring to reveal this fact to him, but shy to do so, she unconsciously pulls away when he tries to touch and embrace her, leading Arima to believe that her feelings for him have diminished.

SYNOPSIS - Tonami, a boy Tsubaki used to tease for being overweight (but whom is now a very attractive young man) in middle school transfers to Hokuei. Asking Rika (another one of his fellow middle school classmates) to pretend that he is another person merely with the same name, he begins to plot his revenge against Tsubaki. Also, Aya wishes to do a play for the school festival, but Yukino and Maho are reluctant to take part.
