UK-born but now based in Japan, Japanese-British artist Gez Fry applies both hand-drawn and computer-generated techniques to his anime-inspired style. The influence of several big manga artists, such as Masamune Shirow (of ‘Ghost in the Shell’ fame) can be seen in his work, as well as those from traditional Japanese art periods such as Ukiyo-e. His great talents have not only helped him gain a following, but has landed him work with the likes of BBC, Namco, Industrial Light and Magic and Future Publishing.

Hello, I hope you don’t mind my asking, do you know how Gez Fry is currently, in light of recent tragedies in Japan? I know at least Yoko Tanji is fine, cause she’s been tweeting and I’ve contacted her. I’m still having trouble finding out if Mr. Fry is alright though.
